Es werden 1001 ausgewählte Spiele aus den Jahren 1970 bis 2013 vorgestellt (die enthaltenden oder für den C64 umgesetzten Spiele sind in dem Zeitraum bis etwa 1994/95 zu finden. Einige der älteren Spiele wurde nur mit ähnlichen Spieleprinzip unter neuen Spieletitel für den C64 als Klone umgesetzt, teilweise aus lizenzrechtlichen Gründen.
